where we operate
Not all vertical transport companies cover every sector of our diverse industry, Lift Specialists Ltd pride themselves on identifying two natural divisions and establishing, early in the companies development, a complete industry wide approach to product and service placement.
This entailed dividing the business between our construction works and maintenance delivery, whilst retaining a common support structure to manage overall operations, plus maintain a cohesive company wide common strategy and working relationship.
This approach has allowed for dual specialisation within the following sectors, ensuring we can provide all the requirements of our varied customer base.
Community housing is by its very nature a unique and specific challenge for any lift service supplier, high user dependency coupled with locations remote to the main client, puts increased strain on both the client and the lift service delivery company. Lift Specialists calls upon its many years of experience in this sector, to build working partnerships based on developing a two way communication relationship, thus allowing for clarity on expectations, limitations, site related challenges and a clear commitment to prioritisation where required, by understanding client and end user needs we can build a foundation for success.
Lift engineers for the Care Home sector.
Probably the single most important service in modern society, whether it be a nursing home, Doctors surgery, cottage hospital or a multi functioning state of art hospital complex, healthcare facilities provide us with the ability to function as a society. Lift Specialists Ltd has been engaged with healthcare providers for decades, delivering all the disciplines of vertical transport maintenance, LOLER compliance, repairs, emergency callout, modernisation, replacement and new builds, we truly understand the requirements and challenges faced by the management teams running these facilities and have developed a strategy to match these requirements and challenges, thus ensuring confidence is maintained at all stages of projects and service delivery and we are proud to play our part in facilitating service continuity for these critical clients.
Lift engineers for Hospitals.
Running a Hotel is challenging enough without facing a lift that is out of service, and, like us, Hotels operate 24/7/365 and face a unique set of challenges, where they move everything vertically throughout the building from staff, customers, luggage, bedding, food, drinks, and cleaning equipment etc. This means that lift maintenance is critical for the support of continued service continuity, couple this with lifecycle management plus targeted capital investment and you will achieve that Holy Grail of performance management, a lift that doesn’t break down meaning happy customers and staff and a business that can function well.
Lift engineers for Hotels.
As with Community Housing, Local Authority contracts present specific and varied challenges for service delivery, varied as the portfolio of sites can be as diverse as a school, library, housing complex, social protection homes, office environments etc and specific as each site is governed by a high-level framework of contract requirements. Lift Specialists Ltd manage these by appointing a dedicated client specific Account Manager from the very beginning of the enquiry, creating a single point of contact for the simplification of communication and the development of the contract specifics.
Lift engineers for Public Buildings.
Lift Specialists Ltd are proud of our solid base of Domestic lift contracts. These contracts are virtually all single lifts at a single site, something that larger lift service suppliers tend to shy away from. This foundation of single unit contracts is just as important as contracts that run into the hundreds, why? Because they need maintaining, ensuring that they are compliant and covered for emergency callouts in just the same way as a larger portfolio; we manage these contracts by being available, reliable and realistic in our approach to client management.
Like any lift facilitating the movement of goods and passengers, a lift within a Commercial environment require service continuity as a minimum, but unlike Industrial lifts which are charged with the safe movement of goods, lifts within a Commercial environment are responsible for the safe movement of people throughout the building, whether that be a regular office user arriving in the morning and leaving at night or a visitor using the lift for a one off visit. That means a different level of attention to detail, clients within a Commercial environment want professional and pleasing to the eye aesthetics as well as service continuity, the user must enjoy the experience and the journey must be seamless, especially for visiting customers.
As well as requiring continued service continuity to allow seamless operations at the client’s site, the Industrial sector requires a different level of lift, robust and utilitarian to survive constant use in varying environments and workloads, in short an Industrial lift needs to be fit for purpose. Lift Specialists have been supplying not just the clients requirements, they pride themselves on understanding the industry and the individual sectors, allowing them to take a client’s specification and making recommendations that either complement or challenge the clients thinking, this approach can only be made possible from the experience gained through extensive delivery of Industrial grade lifts within the UK market place.
The Retail sector has two challenges, the movement of stock and customers around the retail environment, if a lift is out of service a customer will walk away and take their spending elsewhere, add to this the challenges of ongoing reduced customer footfall brought on by the advent of internet shopping and the hangover from the pandemic still impacting the UK retail sector, Lift Specialists Ltd are working hard within this sector on the delivery of working solution to the real hardships being faced, this includes working with our clients to facilitate sustainable and cost effective solutions, whilst at the same time maintaining the 24/7/365 cover needed to support their trading success. These solutions include equipment lifecycle management, out of hour’s maintenance and running cost reduction solutions such as LED upgrades, power idle packages and targeted minor upgrades to reduce energy usage.
