160 Queen Victoria Street is a large exclusive commercial office complex building nestled between St Pauls Cathedral and the Thames, just by Blackfriars Tube and National Rail links, an outstanding example of London’s prime location offices.
After being contacted by a consultant we work with on other major projects within our Great Capital, Lift Specialists Ltd tendered for the modernisation of all fifthteen very high specification lifts at the site and due to our reputation within the industry, we were awarded the contract even though we were not the current incumbent service provider; this is a testament to the construction team we have developed and expanded over the years.
There was however one minor problem, the contract was awarded when the announcement of a global pandemic was issued, leading to all the restriction and challenges associated with managing such a large and prestigious project throughout an extended period of uncharted experience.
Again further testament to our construction team and senior management, the project has been a success and the final units were handed over ahead of the ETC and on budget.
An additional bonus realised off the back of the fantastic construction team’s delivery, was the client’s choice to remain with us and make Lift Specialists Ltd their incumbent service delivery provider, a move that has further increased our maintenance portfolio footprint in the capital.
